Jar...

Well I thought of lots of love jars I have in my cupboard filled with treats like Jam and Chocolate spread for those mornings i need a get up and go, but then remember I had this lovely Cinnamon candle in a jar that my sister bought me.

I love it because its the colours and patter i associate with the Swedish look and I just love that all the pretty red checked fabrics conjures up feelings of homeliness and love and its just how I want my home to feel.
Must apologise to all the hardcore photographers and point out yet again the photo was taken on my camera phone as I often cant get the camera out of its bubble wrapped little box where my hubby keeps it he thinks I will break it must put one on my Christmas list x

Fluff...

So fluff was on the agender today and was temped to clean out the tumble dryer to photograph it but then thought that was too much hard work and as I was off to take my son to Folly Farm I thought that I could find something apt to photograph there.

After the down pour and not much fluff stuff to photograph i came across this little tuffy headed fluffmister and thought if not fluff then maybe fluffy. He was the cutest bunnies ever x

Calm...

As a mummy to a crazy toddler I am far away from calm most of the time and even before having him I was a busy working girl and lived on stress and unlike my name which means serenity and calm I am not very calm.

My calm is only ever down to a peaceful sleeping baby, so when I have five minutes it is normally the calm before little J wakes to make the storm. This photo was after he had screamed for nearly two hours during our four hour car journey back to my home town and all of a sudden we had peace and calm. It was a total photo op when we realised he had found his fingers to suck... Bless peace and calm.

SOS...

I was so excited to hear that you can do whatever you want today as for many months now I have had lots of wonderful photos that I have never got round to putting on here, mainly down to time restraints of life with a busy toddler.

So I have added a photo of one of the walks me and my friend love to take our two young boys on, they are the same age and its a nice time for us to reaffirm ourselves as women and not just so and so mummy.
This place is so peaceful and mostly unused its and opportunity for the boys to be free range for a while and for me and Catherine to catch up and talk like normal adults about love, life, photography and to laugh about the chaos the boys have caused this week.

Mothersday...

So as I am now a mum I can truely understand the love, joy and challenges my own mum experienced and why she always look so tired. Althought I only have one little boy, my mum has 6 children and I am the youngest.

So in true vintage style I thought I would put this photo up of when i was about 12 months old in the early 80's and my mum looked absolutely fabulous even thought she had two children under two at this stage.

Dedicated to my mummy the surviver of her own mini multitude, the giver of life, love and laughter.

SPS...

So today I am feeling tired probably too much internet surfing not enough sleep so wanted you to all see the extent of my black bags...

CAKE...

Today I set out to make a cake I had planned to so anyway as my brother is coming down for the weekend and I wanted to show of what a domestic goddess I was - this is far from the truth and after the day I have had this is even more evident.
But i was pleased as HS:MS challenge was something i would have time to do today until...

I began to sort through ingredients and ready
myself for the cake making marathon, i realised Joseph had gone quiet, my precious little toddler had covered his head in Nappy cream and most of my morning was spent cleaning everywhere his greasy little hands had touched and repeatedly washing his hair which now sticks up on end due to the lovely water resistant element of nappy cream.
I'm sure your laughing your socks off at his photo But I really didn't know if I should laugh or cry... Until my husband suggested maybe I take a photo, camera phone again (quite handy these days).

So here is my excuse for the fact I had to add an old photo again I took this one of my friends cake she made at home a few months back, she is pregnant so I didn't comment on the array of sweets added to the icing x

Suprise...

This one stumpted me I couldnt think of anything that would insist on me jumping out on my little boy and scaring the life out of him, so in a last attempt i looked through my photo and too my suprise I actually had a photo from the summer already labled as "suprise" which was perfect.

This was from a day trip to a local dinosaure park that me and my friend took our sons to but the minute we got there they fell asleep and we messed around pretending to either be eaten by a dinosaure or having snap shots with them, it ending up being a great day even if our boys missed it.

FUNGUS...

Finally I have managed to get a photo with my trusty camera phone normally I see the HS:MS prompt and totally miss every opportunity, that is until the other day when I saw this lovely patch of fungus growing in my local woods and had the chance to capture it on my phone.

So pleased at last something to show of the beauty of wales.

New Adventure

So this is it I am no longer a virgin to the blog, this is my first of many and I am hoping the spare few minutes I get during my full time mummy day will allow me to do the photo challenge on HS:MS... to be honest I was only really inspired to do it after seeing the great photos on my friend Louise's page Words and Pictures and as it has taken me nearly two weeks to sort out how this all works I may be a bit late adding my photos... Deep breathe here goes the new challenges of Serena.
